Job description

Trainees who join FCSO functions will join one of the following teams – FCSO Investigations or FCSO Business Management team for up to 6-months.

FCSO is the Bank’s specialist utility in the 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) undertaking review of risk events generated, analysis of red flags and resolution or escalation of risk. We are the first step in the Bank’s fight against Financial Crime, responsible for managing the risk in the processes and ensuring an effective control environment. Our teams are located across 26 locations, supporting over 40 markets worldwide. At FCSO, we aim to work collaboratively with our partners across the businesses to deliver deliver effective and sustainable surveillance capabilities to protect the bank from financial crime risk.

In FCSO investigations, you will learn to conduct thorough investigations into suspicious activities flagged by monitoring systems and learn to gather and analyze data from various sources to build a comprehensive understanding of potential financial crime.

Trainees in the Business Management team will assist in planning, executing and monitoring projects to learn effective project management techniques. Trainees will also be exposed to data analysis to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement and prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings.

During this traineeship, we will guide you in building the skills and capabilities needed to succeed in a career in Surveillance operations. You will learn domain knowledge of our Surveillance services and other technical and meta-skills relevant to being a successful operations professional of the future.

Eligibility
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 and 2025 from universities
  • Have the permanent legal right to work in Singapore
  • Keen interest in Banking and Finance industry
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in coding and programming languages like SAS, Python or R
  • Proficiency in Analytics to utilise data driven insights and identify trends
