About the Team:

We are seeking a Data Analyst Trainee to support the Central Procurement Desk and Travel Desk at Sea Limited. This is a 6 months full-time onsite role based in Singapore as part of the GRIT Programme. The GRaduate Industry Traineeships (GRIT) Programme is an initiative by Workforce Singapore (WSG) that offers fresh graduates with traineeship opportunities across various sectors. This traineeship offers hands‑on experience in analyzing procurement and group travel data, identifying trends, and supporting data‑driven recommendations that enhance compliance and process efficiency. You will gain exposure to real‑world data analytics within procurement and group travel operations.

The program aims to develop your analytical and problem‑solving capabilities using large datasets and reporting tools to support business insights and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description:
  • Collect, clean, and analyze procurement and travel‑related data to identify key trends and anomalies.
  • Prepare data visualizations and performance dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing analytical reports and presentations for management review.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and AI automation projects through data‑driven insights.
  • Apply data analysis and reporting techniques to real‑world business operations.
  • Strengthen analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills through hands‑on experience.
  • Gain practical exposure to procurement and travel data systems, policies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to translate data findings into actionable business recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field; or graduated earlier and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025 as a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, etc.); familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Eager to learn about procurement operations, compliance, and data‑driven process improvement.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, and willingness to work in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment.
