Job summary

Octopus Design & Consultant Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled signage designer to develop concepts, layouts and proposals based on client requirements. You will prepare design mock-ups, production-ready artwork, and shop drawings for fabrication and installation, while coordinating with project teams and suppliers.

The role requires proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, strong typography and layout skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interior Design, Industrial Design or related discipline.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Able to prepare accurate artwork according to actual dimensions.
• Able to read measurements, plans and basic technical drawings.
• Detail-oriented with good accuracy and file management.
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and clients.
• Comfortable attending site surveys when required.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop signage concepts, layouts and design proposals based on client requirements.
• Prepare design mock-ups, presentation visuals and artwork for client approval.
• Prepare production-ready artwork using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Produce signage drawings showing dimensions, materials, colours, graphics and other relevant specifications.
• Prepare shop drawings and technical drawings for signage fabrication and installation.
• Conduct or assist with site surveys and site measurements when required.
• Apply site photographs and measurements to prepare accurate signage proposals and visual mock-ups.
• Prepare artwork for large-format printing, vinyl cutting, stickers, acrylic, aluminium, stainless steel and other signage materials.
• Understand basic signage construction, fabrication and mounting methods.
• Coordinate with project, production and installation teams to ensure designs can be fabricated and installed correctly.
• Make amendments according to client comments and project requirements.
• Check artwork, spelling, dimensions, colours and specifications before production.
• Maintain organised project artwork, drawings and design files.
• Handle multiple projects and meet submission and production deadlines.
