Job summary

ByteDance Singapore is seeking a PhD-level ML/OR specialist to join our global supply chain analytics team. You will develop deep learning and operations research models for the logistics and fulfillment networks, leveraging big data to improve ETA predictions, inventory planning, and pricing strategies.

You will collaborate with product and operations teams, publish research, and apply advanced techniques to drive efficiency and user experience across our e-commerce services.

Qualifications

• PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Proficient in machine learning and statistics with practical application experience.
• Proficient in Python/Java and familiar with ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch).

Responsibilities

• Develop deep learning and operations research models for global e-commerce supply chain and logistics.
• Predict ETA and other logistics events using ML, NLP, and knowledge graphs.
• Forecast sales and inventory demand using time-series methods and ML.
• Collaborate with merchant and operations teams to drive growth and optimize pricing/subsidy strategies.
• Predict traffic/conversion for merchandises to improve merchandise operations.
