Job summary

Faststream Recruitment Pte Ltd in Singapore partners with a marine energy group seeking a Governance & Assurance Specialist to improve how the business runs across departments.

You will review end-to-end processes, identify bottlenecks and control gaps, and work with Heads of Department to implement fixes, including automation and ESG data collection for disclosures.

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
• At least 3 years in audit, internal controls, finance, operations, process improvement, compliance or business support.
• Solid understanding of business processes and controls (CIA, CIMA or CA a plus).
• The tact to challenge senior stakeholders and the persistence to follow through.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, plus Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Review end-to-end workflows across the group, finding bottlenecks, duplicated effort, delays and manual work, and recommending practical fixes, including automation where it makes sense
• Reviewing approval workflows, delegation of authority, documentation and segregation of duties, and flagging control gaps and non-compliance
• Running periodic checks on claims, procurement, reimbursements, vendor onboarding, payments, inventory and records management, then following up on remediation
• Writing review reports with observations, root causes and recommendations, and keeping management updated on corrective actions
• Keeping trackers of findings and spotting recurring issues and risk trends
• Collecting, verifying and consolidating ESG data from across the business, maintaining audit trails, and helping prepare ESG reports and disclosures
• Supporting SOP standardisation and cross-functional improvement projects

Job description

Faststream is partnering with a marine energy group in Singapore. They're looking for a Governance & Assurance Specialist to work across the departments in the group. The job is to look at how the business actually runs: where approvals stall, where controls are thin, and where the same work gets done twice. Then you help fix it.

You'll work closely with Heads of Department to drive reviews and make sure agreed changes happen.
