Job summary

KLA is seeking a Trade Operations & Compliance professional to manage day-to-day import/export activities for Singapore and SEA, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. You will review orders, maintain SOPs, and support licensing, including Strategic Goods controls, in a fast-paced, global setting.

You will act as a subject-matter expert across internal teams, assist with audits, and help drive operational excellence within the Legal Compliance Organization (LCO).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 3–5 years in trade compliance or import/export.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore and Southeast Asia import/export regulations and licenses.
• Experience with SAP GTS or similar trade-compliance systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day import/export activities for Singapore and SEA.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore, SEA, and international trade regulations.
• Review export orders, including urgent and ad-hoc shipments.
• Maintain and update trade compliance SOPs to support operational excellence.
• Support import permit applications and export licensing requirements, including Strategic Goods controls.
• Manage the Singapore Bulk Export License for strategic goods.
• Act as a trade compliance subject-matter expert for internal stakeholders; advise on risk and audits.
• Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews.

The Legal Compliance Organization (LCO) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA and second headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI provides legal guidance to further KLA’s strategic objectives and protect and preserve the legal, ethical and financial integrity and reputation of the Company. With specific expertise in the areas of corporate law, commercial law, employment law, and intellectual property; the LCO offers strategic legal counsel that is informed by a clear understanding of the company’s business objectives and expertise in the laws and regulations relevant to the business worldwide.

Job Description / Preferred Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Trade Operations & Compliance Manage day‑to‑day import and export activities for Singapore and SEA locations
• Ensure compliance with Singapore, SEA, and applicable international trade regulations
• Review and release export orders, including urgent and ad‑hoc shipments
• Maintain and update trade compliance SOPs to support operational excellence
• Licensing & Regulatory Management Support import permit applications and export licensing requirements, including Strategic Goods controls
• Manage and administer the Singapore Bulk Export License for strategic goods
• Advisory, Risk & Audit Support Act as a trade compliance subject‑matter expert for internal stakeholders
• Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews

Minimum Qualifications

• Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred 3–5 years of experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, or international business
• Technical & Regulatory Knowledge Strong knowledge of Singapore and Southeast Asia import/export regulations and Strategic Goods controls, including License applications.
• SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) or similar automated trade compliance systems experience preferred
• Familiarity with U.S. export and re‑export regulations is a plus.
