Job summary
PerkinElmer is seeking a high-caliber Global Commodity Manager – Metal to lead sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and value creation across the metals portfolio.
You will partner with Engineering, R&D, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance and Business Leaders to align procurement with growth, risk management, and NPI.
The ideal candidate has 12+ years in global metal sourcing, strong negotiation, and advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years in metal sourcing required.
- Strong project management and strategic sourcing experience.
- Advanced MS Excel and data analytics capability.
- Experience with supplier negotiation and contract management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global commodity strategies for metals across the supply base.
- Own end-to-end commodity lifecycle, supplier segmentation, and long-term value plans.
- Drive cost savings and value creation through negotiations and cost-down initiatives.
- Lead supplier risk management, continuity planning, and dual sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to align sourcing with business goals.
- Lead and coach procurement teams to improve negotiation capability and supplier performance.
