IQVIA Laboratories seeks a Medical Laboratory Director to provide medical, scientific, and technical leadership for clinical testing operations in Singapore and Tokyo.

The role ensures services comply with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards while supporting global clinical research programs and leading multidisciplinary teams across QA, operations, and project management.

Formación

• MD and/or PhD in Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in clinical laboratory leadership, pathology, laboratory medicine, clinical research, or related scientific environment.
• Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory testing, quality management systems, accreditation requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across a global organization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High standards of professional ethics, scientific integrity, and patient focus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and relevant laboratory and business systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and regulated environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide medical, scientific, and technical oversight of clinical laboratory testing operations and ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality requirements.
• Oversee medical and scientific aspects of clinical testing services and ensure operations meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with QA and operations to maintain and improve quality systems, lab processes, and customer service standards.
• Identify and resolve patient safety, quality, and data integrity issues, including investigations and corrective actions.
• Review and approve validation plans, protocols, and reports for new assays and testing methods.
• Support transition of clinical trial assays from development to routine testing with proper procedures.
• Ensure procedures, platforms, and methodologies are documented and updated for regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Laboratory Operations to maintain testing menus and test coding structures.
• Collaborate with sponsors, investigators, and teams to meet client, scientific, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide scientific expertise and support during client meetings, audits, and business development.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of laboratory personnel.
• Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.
• Support health, safety, and environmental programs to maintain a safe lab environment.
• Stay current with scientific, technical, and regulatory developments in laboratory medicine.
• Maintain continuing education and professional development requirements for certifications and directorship responsibilities.
• Participate in leadership activities, governance meetings, sponsor qualifications, and other initiatives.
• Support anatomic pathology activities where qualified.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
