About the Role

We are hiring a Global Licensing Director to lead our Financial Services licensing and regulatory efforts worldwide. You will be responsible for securing and maintaining licenses in key markets, ensuring compliance across payments, electronic money institutions (EMIs), neobank operations, and crypto / virtual assets. Additionally, you will oversee card scheme requirements and manage relationships with PSPs and alternative payment methods (APMs).

You will work closely with senior leadership, regulators, and internal teams to ensure ZEN.COM continues to grow while remaining fully compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Manage license applications and renewals across multiple regions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators and financial authorities.

Monitor regulatory changes and update internal stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with licensing conditions and regulatory requirements.

Oversee governance, risk, and compliance processes.

Lead crypto and virtual assets licensing efforts globally.

Provide regulatory input to leadership and business teams.

Manage card scheme obligations for acquiring and issuing.

Build relationships with PSPs and APMs to support operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in regulatory licensing in payments, fintech, EMI, or neobank sectors.

Strong knowledge of regulatory regimes in key markets (Eastern Europe, North America, Southeast Asia).

Direct experience working with regulators and handling license applications.

Solid understanding of compliance frameworks (AML, KYC, PSD2, US & East Asia payment regulations).

Experience with crypto and virtual assets licensing.

Knowledge of card scheme rules for acquiring and issuing.

Ability to manage relationships with PSPs and APMs.

Excellent project management and organisational skills.

Strong communication skills, comfortable working across regions and cultures.

Background in law, compliance, or finance is a plus.
