Job summary

A consulting company based in Singapore is seeking an IT professional to manage technology infrastructure, support learning management systems, and fulfill the Data Protection Officer role. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, expertise in cloud management, and strong programming skills. Responsibilities include vendor management, IT support, and ensuring data security. Training in data protection will be provided.

Job description

Your role is to support & manage in-house technology; learning & courseware systems/technologies, mission critical applications including Learning Management System (LMS). An interest in applications, AI integration and software programming will be an advantage. You will also take on the role of Data Protection Officer for the Company (You will need to undergo training and be certified if you are not familiar with data protection)

Role and Responsibilities
In-house Technology
  • Liaise with vendors regarding system-related matters, including development procurement, support, and technical issues. Manage & liaise closely with vendors and service providers to effectively manage such infrastructure, cloud & network systems, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and validation of Statement Of Work (SOW)
  • Conduct checks on server and data security to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, upgrade, and optimize software and IT systems.
  • Provide IT support, including procurement, installation, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and infrastructure. Manage local network and plan downtime including version updates, testing and recovery.
  • Respond promptly to service issues, incidents, and support requests.
  • Offer technical support and guidance across the company to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Manage user accounts, including creation, deletion, and access permissions for systems, software, and devices.
  • Implement and maintain security measures including password & access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management for office & cloud environments
  • Test and evaluate new technologies, systems, and servers.
  • Prepare and deliver status reports on certain products to management
  • Continue to track relevant emerging technologies, trends, and best practices related to the company’s business, and propose and implement improvements accordingly.
  • Document and maintain a comprehensive up to date IT Asset register and documentation.
  • Manage company data backup, restore, and monitor backup jobs to ensure that all company backup jobs are completed and kept online and off site according to policy.
Learning and Courseware System Technology
  • Provide consultation and assistance on issues relating to training structures, deployment/registration of self-serve and in-person training for internal and external resources.
  • Consult with instructional designers and trainers about course content and how they behave and access the LMS.
  • Provide top-level escalation support (in person, by phone, and web-based remote support) for the LMS.
  • Interface with external instructional technology and LMS vendors and agencies as they relate to sustaining and continually improving LMS capabilities for Instructional Designers, Trainers and information management needs
  • Perform all high-level system and user administration tasks on the LMS.
  • Work directly with trainers, instructional designers and management to facilitate adoption of instructional technologies via the LMS and to provide assistance for problem resolution, testing and optimization.
  • Able to manage some simple software programming for change requests and to deploy to server
Data Protection Officer
  • Assume the role of the DPO (once trained and certified).
Requirements
  • A relevant degree or diploma with equivalent years of experience
  • At least 5 years of working experience is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Experience with managing cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, IAM, backups, security configurations, and monitoring.
  • NET Development: Ability to debug, fix bugs, and deploy .NET applications (web and/or desktop). Familiarity with Visual Studio, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices.
  • Domain & Hosting Management: Solid understanding of domain management, DNS configuration, SSL certificate setup/renewal, and general web hosting operations.
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tenant administration, including user and license management, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and security/compliance features.
  • Training administration experience is an advantage
  • Project management experience, an advantage
  • Knowledge about SCORM and API requirements as related to LMS content management and accessibility of courses, publishing to production
