About our group:

We are the Global Factory Information Technologies (GFIT) team at Seagate. Our mission is to drive digital transformation across Seagate’s global manufacturing operations. We develop and implement data-driven solutions that enable real-time decision-making, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation.

In 2026, we are expanding our focus to include Generative AI (GenAI) as a core enabler of smart factory innovation. This includes using GenAI to enhance process optimization, automate knowledge generation, and create intelligent digital assistants that support factory operations.

About the role - you will:

As an AI Intern specializing in Generative AI, you will collaborate with our Data Scientists and Engineers to explore and develop innovative GenAI applications for smart manufacturing. Your responsibilities may include:

• Designing and prototyping GenAI models for factory use cases.
• Developing AI-powered tools for automated report generation, anomaly explanation, and digital twin simulations.
• Integrating GenAI solutions with factory control systems..

This is a high-impact role where your work will contribute to Seagate’s next-generation smart factory capabilities.

About you:

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about AI and excited to explore the frontiers of Generative AI in real-world industrial settings. You should be:

• Curious, inventive, and eager to learn.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to commit full internship (Jan toMay/Aug)

Your experience includes:

• Good at Python programming and familiar with GenAI frameworks
• Knowledgeable in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
• Bachelor or master's students in Computer science, computer engineering

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations.
