About the Job
Binance, the world's leading blockchain company and largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, is seeking a Global Deputy Lead - Compliance Systems and Controls to join their team. This leadership role will focus on developing and optimizing compliance systems and technology solutions within Binance’s Compliance Division, leveraging data science and technology to enhance efficiency and regulatory adherence.
Responsibilities
- Compliance System Development: Lead and develop systems for effective compliance programs, including areas like name screening, KYC/KYB, AML, and CTF.
- Data Science and Analytics: Apply modern frameworks, such as Machine Learning and LLM, to optimize compliance processes and improve system effectiveness.
- Model Optimization: Monitor, tune, and set up new compliance models and typologies to meet regulatory requirements.
- Change Control Management: Ensure that all change control processes and documentation comply with regulatory standards.
- Model Validation: Develop and oversee a model validation program, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Reporting and MIS: Develop and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) reports to provide leadership insights on compliance performance.
- Risk Scoring: Optimize and validate Customer Risk Scoring Models and customer screening rules.
- Operational Efficiencies: Consult on platform enhancements for better operational efficiencies and integrate Travel Rule data into screening systems.
- Leadership and Coaching: Lead teams, coach team leads, and improve project management skills across compliance teams.
Requirements
- Experience:
- 10+ years in Compliance, with at least 5 years in Compliance Systems development and data analytics.
- 6+ years of management experience overseeing managers and team leaders.
- Compliance Knowledge: Expertise in compliance control domains, including Sanctions, ABC, CTF, AML, and other related areas.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead teams from ideation to implementation and validate the effectiveness of compliance models.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees in computer science, data science, or related fields are preferred.
- Certifications:
- Compliance-related certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE) preferred.
- PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile project management certifications preferred.
- Knowledge in Digital Currency: Experience or interest in crypto/digital currencies and technology strategy.
- Consulting Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and self-motivation skills, with attention to detail.
