Job summary

Talent Trader Group in Singapore seeks an experienced Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management across Asia's aerospace sector. You will shape regional commodity strategies, manage direct materials and outsourced services, and drive negotiations with key suppliers.

The role requires expertise in AS9100/Nadcap, ERP/MRP, and cross-border logistics, with a track record of cost savings, risk management, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in aerospace procurement and commodity management.
• Strong strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Familiar with AS9100, Nadcap, and customer flow-down requirements.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP, Incoterms, and global logistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional/global commodity and sourcing strategies.
• Lead supplier negotiations, LTAs, and commercial agreements.
• Manage direct materials and outsourced services across aerospace suppliers.
• Drive cost savings through benchmarking and should-cost analyses.
• Oversee supplier capacity, delivery performance, and continuity risks.
• Coordinate supplier sourcing, qualification, transition and performance improvement.
• Evaluate RFQs/RFPs and support strategic contract negotiations.
• Work across sites on demand/supply planning and inventory optimisation.
• Manage sourcing requirements covering capital equipment, MRO/tooling, repairs and related services.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities across the Asia region within the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute regional/global commodity and sourcing strategies
• Manage direct materials and outsourced services across aerospace suppliers
• Lead supplier negotiations, pricing strategies, LTAs and commercial agreements
• Drive cost savings through benchmarking, should-cost, PPV and other cost-analysis initiatives
• Manage supplier capacity, lead time, delivery performance and supply continuity risks
• Lead supplier sourcing, qualification, transition and performance improvement activities
• Evaluate RFQs/RFPs and support strategic contract negotiations
• Work across sites on demand/supply planning, shortages, expedites and inventory optimisation
• Manage sourcing requirements covering capital equipment, MRO/tooling, repairs and related services

Requirements:

• Strong aerospace procurement / commodity management experience
• Solid background in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, cost reduction and contract management
• Knowledge of aerospace supplier requirements such as AS9100, Nadcap and customer flow-downs
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems, Incoterms, global logistics and cross-border trade requirements
• Strong supplier risk and supply continuity management experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Degree or minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience

Good to Have:

• Coupa and/or Power BI experience
• APICS/CPIM, CPSM, CIPS, Lean or Six Sigma certification
• REACH / RoHS knowledge
• Experience managing commodities across multiple Asia sites
