About the role

We are seeking a skilled German Translator to join our team, based in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating documents and communications from Mandarin to German and vice versa. You will also be required to teach basic German to the management team, assisting in enhancing their language skills for effective communication during business trips to Germany.

What you’ll be doing

1. Translate written documents and correspondence between Mandarin and German.
2. Provide real-time translation during meetings and presentations when necessary.
3. Teach basic German phrases and language structures to the management team.
4. Prepare for and participate in occasional business trips to Germany.
5. Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations.

What we’re looking for

1. Proficiency in both German and Mandarin (spoken and written).
2. Previous experience in translation or language teaching preferred.
3. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
4. Willingness to travel to Germany as required.
5. A degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field is a plus.
