Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for leading strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and overseeing the business operations across East Asia. This role will manage multiple business divisions while ensuring smooth operational performance, profitability, and strategic alignment with corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
  • Serve as a key decision‑maker, overseeing all business functions to achieve operational excellence and sustainable growth.

  • Lead and execute strategic plans to grow the company’s footprint and revenue across East Asia.

  • Oversee Tank, Container Shipping, and Freight Forwarding operations.

  • Ensure timely release of tanks and containers, with readiness at depots for customer collection.

  • Oversee documentation processes to ensure all export paperwork is issued accurately and promptly.

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish new business partnerships to support regional expansion.

  • Maintain high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction, minimizing penalties or complaints.

  • Develop and manage the annual business plan and budget, ensuring revenue and cost control targets are met.

  • Responsibility for the Profit & Loss (P&L) and ensure financial targets are achieved.

  • Formulate and execute short‑ and long‑term business objectives aligned with corporate goals.

  • Evaluate potential investments in assets, systems, and talent to support long-term business development.

  • Uphold company policies, legal requirements, and ethical business standards across all operations.

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide leadership direction and operational insights.

  • Support high‑level decision‑making by offering strategic advice on investments, partnerships, and negotiations.

  • Continuously review business performance and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency.

  • Strengthen and maintain key client relationships to ensure long‑term business partnerships.

  • Conduct regular client meetings and visits to build strong relationships and promote the company’s brand presence.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing to provide insights and recommendations to headquarters.

  • Support marketing and sales initiatives aimed at achieving commercial objectives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 15 years of leadership experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or supply chain, including at least 3–5 years in a regional or senior management capacity.

  • Proven track record in strategic sales management, key account development, and business growth.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of regional market dynamics.

  • Hands‑on experience managing P&L responsibilities and leading diverse, multicultural teams.
