Key Responsibilities:

The GM will have authority to represent the subsidiary on behalf of company’s HQ and as such will be the main contact with the relevant departments. These include Sales, Marketing, R&D/Engineering, Manufacturing and operations. The GM will have legal duties locally based on country regulations & company agreements.

The GM will have direct responsibility for the management of local departments including Sales & Marketing, Customer service, Service Support and Finance.

The priority of the GM is to provide a dynamic commercial sales environment which guides the Sales organization in their day-to-day activities while remaining responsible for the overall sales turnover, margin & operating costs.

The GM will be the main liaison with the HQ highlighting the upcoming & future trends within the Singapore HVAC market. GM will deeply monitor the market, act as market Intelligence champion assessing construction and HVAC trends and associated opportunities. The ideal candidate will create the relevant network with the proper stakeholders within the existing customers portfolio mapping & analyzing innovation and needs. The GM will be able to translate the trends and observation into internal requirements and actions plan while guiding the strategy of the HQ with the Marketing Dept.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC engineering and/or management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, products and applications.
  • Proven track record managing teams and departments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient with use of business IT systems (MS Office etc).
