General Manager (Sales cum Overall In-Charge – Laboratory)
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the overall operations and business performance of a modern dental laboratory. This role combines strong leadership in sales and business development with comprehensive oversight of daily operations, financial management, and team performance.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial mindset, deep understanding of dental laboratory workflows, and proven ability to drive business growth while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the dental laboratory team.
- Identify market opportunities, competitive trends, and technological innovations to maintain a strong market position.
- Align laboratory strategies with group objectives and long‑term business goals.
2. Sales & Business Development
- Lead the sales and marketing functions to drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with dental professionals, clinics, and external partners.
- Develop pricing strategies, promotional plans, and product/service portfolios to enhance market competitiveness.
- Oversee key account management and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
3. Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Champion the integration of digital dentistry technologies and systems.
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of technicians, sales, and administrative personnel.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Establish clear performance objectives and development pathways for staff.
5. Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the laboratory’s annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Monitor P&L performance, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Ensure financial sustainability while supporting business expansion and innovation initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Dental Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial or general management capacity.
- Proven track record in sales, operations management, and business development, preferably within the dental, medical, or healthcare industries.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage cross‑functional teams.
- Good understanding of digital dental technology, CAD/CAM systems, and modern lab workflows.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
