About the Role

This is a senior leadership role responsible for building and leading the fertiliser trading business in Southeast Asia, with Singapore as the regional trading hub. The role will define strategy, own P&L performance, drive trade origination and execution, and establish long-term partnerships across global fertiliser markets.

Role Overview

Lead and grow the fertiliser trading business in Southeast Asia, using Singapore as the regional trading hub. This role is responsible for strategy, trade execution, P&L ownership, and building long-term partnerships across global fertiliser markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute fertiliser trading strategy and business roadmap.
• Build and manage a diversified fertiliser portfolio (e.g. urea, sulphur and related products).
• Originate, negotiate and execute physical fertiliser trades end-to-end.
• Own fertiliser trading P&L and manage risk exposure.
• Monitor market trends, supply-demand dynamics and regulatory developments.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with producers, distributors and buyers.
• Coordinate with operations, shipping, finance and legal teams for smooth trade execution.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations and internal governance standards.
• Build and develop the fertiliser trading team over time.
• Prepare business plans, performance reports and market updates for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years’ experience in fertiliser or agricultural commodities trading.
• Strong knowledge of global fertiliser markets, pricing, logistics and physical trading.
• Proven ability to manage P&L and build trading portfolios.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work in an international, fast-paced environment based in Singapore.
