General Manager (F&B)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our cafe/restaurant/lounge operations. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who combines operational excellence, strong financial acumen, and a genuine passion for hospitality. You will oversee all aspects of daily operations, team performance, customer experience, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of the cafe/restaurant/lounge to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable service.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, service, hygiene, and safety in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for front‑of‑house (FOH) and back‑of‑house (BOH).
- Manage scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relations efficiently.
- Ensure timely maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
2. Financial & Business Performance
- Prepare and manage budgets, P&L statements, and financial reports.
- Track key performance indicators (sales targets, cost control, labor productivity, and profit margins).
- Develop and execute business strategies to increase revenue, manage costs, and improve overall profitability.
- Identify and implement promotional strategies, marketing collaborations, and seasonal campaigns.
3. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of service crew, kitchen staff, and supervisors.
- Foster a positive team culture with strong communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure professional growth opportunities for staff.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, and disciplinary processes in collaboration with HR.
4. Customer Experience
- Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service that aligns with brand values.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Build relationships with loyal customers and create community engagement through events or loyalty programs.
5. Brand & Marketing Support
- Work with marketing teams to execute branding, advertising, and social media initiatives.
- Maintain visual merchandising and ambience standards that reflect the brand’s identity.
- Explore collaboration opportunities with influencers, local businesses, and event organisers.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in F&B management, preferably in cafe, restaurant, or lifestyle lounge settings.
- Proven track record in operations, financial management, and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of food safety (SFA), hygiene standards, and manpower regulations in Singapore.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Passion for hospitality with a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and adaptability.
