Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks an experienced General Manager to provide guidance from project conception to completion. Candidates should have at least 30 years of experience in the construction industry, including 11 years in a senior management role. Fluency in Japanese is advantageous for collaboration with the Japan Head Office.

Job description
Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. The General Manager with his/her vast experience and knowledge, shall provide professional guidance and inputs to the company from the conceptual stage to the design, tender, execution and completion of project.
  2. He/She shall be part of the top management team in the decision-making on corporate strategy in the tender process and be competitive in securing new projects for the company.
  3. It would be a great advantage if he/she possesses some specialised knowledge and experience with Factory projects in Japan, Singapore and in countries in the Asia Region.
  4. He/She shall report to the Japan Head Office.
Requirements:
  • Should possess professional qualifications recognised by the PEB/BOA and a minimum qualification of Degree/Masters in Engineering or Architecture or equivalent qualification.
  • Should have at least 30 years of relevant experience in the construction industry and a minimum of 11 years’ experience in Senior Management role.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Japanese would be an advantage as he/she has to constantly communicate and collaborate with the Japan Head Office including filing of progress reports.
