Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day financial matters and accounts closing.
  • Prepare monthly and year-end audit schedules.
  • Liaise with various departments for information collection.
  • Prepare bank reconciliation and resolve reconciling items.
  • Assist on corporate tax and internal audit matters.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Handle day-to-day financial matters, month-end and year-end accounts closing (such as assessing the adequacy of accruals/provisions), and preparation of the monthly and year-end audit schedules and financial reporting packages
  • Liaise with various departments in the collection of information and documents
  • Process internal charge and reclassification requests
  • Process miscellaneous receipts and follow up on unaccounted sums
  • Identify and perform clearing for offsetting transactions for balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare bank reconciliation and resolve reconciling items
  • Investigate and resolve user’s queries
  • Prepare GST and other statistical submissions
  • Assist on corporate tax, internal and external audit matters
  • Work with Grants and Intercompany GL teams to resolve issues
  • Participate in process improvement projects
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned by supervisor
Requirements
  • Preferably Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
  • Preferably a minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in General Ledger function
  • Experienced candidates will be considered for the Senior Assistant Executive position
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferably proficient in Microsoft Office such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate with various departments and levels
  • Independent, meticulous and with positive attitude
