Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore is seeking a Gemologist & Production Manager. This role involves expert gemstone identification, providing client consultations on selections, and overseeing the procurement and management of inventory. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in the luxury retail sector and holds a gemological certification. A competitive salary starting from $4500 to $7000 plus commissions and bonuses will be offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years working experience in the retail luxury industry, preferably in jewelry.
• Certified Gemologist (GIA, FGA or other relevant certification) is an advantage.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced gemological instruments to identify and grade gemstones.

Gemologist & Production Manager

Working Days: 5.5 days

Working Timing: 9-6pm (Mon to Fri) and 9am to 1pm Saturday (by appointment), Sunday & PH is off.

Working Location: 435 Orchard Road, #17-06 Wisma Atria Singapore 238877

Starting Salary: $4500 to $7000 + Sales commission sharing + AWS + bonus depends on company performance

Job Responsibilities

• Gem Identification and Grading: Utilize advanced gemological instruments and techniques to accurately identify and grade gemstones, including diamonds, colored gemstones and pearls.
• Client Consultation: Provide expert advice to clients on gemstone selection, care and investment, and assist in the selection of gemstone for jewelry design and creation.
• Procurement: Sourcing and procurement of gemstones.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of gemstone inventory and monitor gemstone market trends and advise on potential investments.
• Production: Coordinate with designers and workshop on new product development.
