ByteDance, a global technology leader, is seeking a data/ML-focused engineer within the Nuverse gaming unit. You will work on improving models across recall, ranking, and advertising to optimize user experience and monetization capabilities for overseas game services.

The role requires strong foundations in data structures, statistics and probability, and proficiency in Python/C++/Go with experience in ML frameworks. Prior work with ad/recommendation models is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in data structures, statistics and probability.
• Excellent coding ability; Python/C++/Go proficiency preferred.
• Solid ML/deep learning theory; proficient in at least one mainstream framework.
• Good product sense; prioritize product impact.
• Experience with deep learning models in advertising and recommendations is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Improve models and strategies across recall, coarse/fine/mixed ranking to optimize user experience.
• Advance deep conversion models and improve predictions for LTV, payment rate, and retention.
• Enhance advertising models (targeting, bidding, mechanics) to balance user experience with monetization.
