Job summary

First Fun in Singapore invites fresh graduates to join our backend team to design and implement game server features. You will contribute to server-side services, APIs, databases, and tools that power players, items, quests, and events.

As a new engineer, you will collaborate with client engineers, game designers, QA, and other teams, participate in code reviews, and learn cloud workflows and AI-assisted tools to improve code quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/SE/IT or related field; fresh graduates welcome.
• Solid fundamentals; familiar with at least one language among Go, Java, C++, Python, or C#.
• SQL basics and relational databases; familiarity with caching or message queues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of game server features, completing module development and bug fixes with guidance from the team.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and internal tools based on product and gameplay requirements to support game features such as player systems, items, quests, and events.
• Assist with implementing data exchange between the client and server, including API integration testing, data validation, and error handling.
• Write clear, maintainable code, follow team standards, and participate in code reviews, testing, and technical documentation maintenance.
• Assist with troubleshooting server-side operational issues, with a focus on API responses, logs, database access, and basic service stability.
• Collaborate with client engineers, game designers, QA, and other engineering teams to understand requirements and clearly communicate development progress and risks.
• Proactively learn backend technologies, cloud development workflows, and AI-assisted tools to continuously improve code quality and engineering efficiency.
