A leading furniture manufacturer in Singapore is seeking a Furniture Sales Designer to assist clients with customized furniture and upholstery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing design advice, preparing presentations, and achieving sales targets. A diploma or degree in Interior or Furniture Design is required, along with proficiency in relevant design software. This role offers a 5-day work week with weekend shifts after a probationary period.

Furniture Sales Designer Responsibilities

• Serving walk-in clients for customised furniture and upholstery
• Provide professional advice on colour coordination and choice of fabrics/materials and conceptual furniture designs
• Develop conceptual design to our corporate clients
• Design and provide presentations to corporate clients
• Design documentation and preparing material boards, preparation of proposals, mood boards and quotations
• Prepare detailed drawings for furniture design construction
• Attend site meetings, appointments, and follow through in project management
• Attend client's briefing/site measurement
• Responsible for achieving monthly sales targets
• Handle retail responsibilities such as housekeeping of store and visual merchandising, follow up of online and offline enquiries
• Propose our products to developers, architects, designers, etc. for their projects
• Increase our market share in the residential & corporate sales market

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design / Furniture Design
• Proficient in relevant design software Sketchup, AutoCAD, 3D Max to produce product design drawings
• Strong creativity and design capabilities, with a keen eye for details
• Knowledge of furniture, materials, colour selections, and specifications
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and production team effectively
• Independent and able to multitask and to monitor concurrent projects from start to finish
• Possess excellent design capabilities, a flair for creativity and a positive attitude
• Possess excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
• Advantage if candidate has a network of contacts with developers, architects, designers, and contractors

Job Details

• 5 Day Work Week – Shift (Sat/Sun) – after 2 months probation
• Need to be willing to work weekends
• Working Hours: Mon – Sat 9:30 am to 6:30 pm
• Working Hours: Sun 11:30 am to 6:30 pm
