Job summary

A design firm in Singapore seeks a Furniture Designer to conduct on-site measurements, prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings, and produce 3D visualizations for client presentations. Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site measurements at residential and commercial properties
• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings (layouts, elevations, sections and technical details)
• Produce 3D drawings / visualisations for client presentations (SketchUp, 3ds Max or similar)
• Develop joinery and furniture construction details suitable for factory production and site installation
• Coordinate with sales, project managers, installers and factories to ensure accurate execution
• Revise drawings based on site conditions, client feedback and technical requirements
• Ensure designs comply with local site conditions, tolerances and installation practicality

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in furniture design, joinery design or custom carpentry
• Strong ability in site measurement and space planning
• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Experience with 3D software (SketchUp / 3ds Max / similar)
• Solid understanding of furniture construction, materials, and hardware systems
• Knowledge of custom cabinetry, wardrobes, kitchens and door systems
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently
• Familiar with Singapore residential renovation environment is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in custom furniture / built-in joinery projects
• Understanding of factory production workflows
• Ability to balance design aesthetics and technical feasibility
• Exposure to premium or European-style furniture systems is a plus
