Job summary

A conservation organization in Singapore is seeking a skilled fundraising manager to identify opportunities and manage donor relationships. This role requires over 3 years of experience in fundraising or donor management, along with excellent negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred. You will lead fundraising initiatives and ensure compliance with legal standards in all interactions. Qualifications

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Board and the team to identify fundraising priorities and opportunities and set annual fundraising targets.
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, sponsors, and philanthropic partners.
  • Foster collaboration across all areas of the organization to ensure alignment in achieving fundraising goals.
  • Lead the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives.
  • Develop targeted stories and content tailored to specific donor segments, Support the project team in proposal development according to funders’ requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers to arrange donor recognition and engagement activities.
  • Manage donor records.
  • Uphold legal and ethical standards in fundraising practices, ensuring transparency, honesty, and accountability in all interactions with donors and stakeholders.
Experience and Competencies
  • A Diploma or Degree from an accredited tertiary institution, or comparable qualifications.
  • Over 3 years’ experience in a related field (e.g., fundraising, donor management, marketing, product management, philanthropic advisory).
  • Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
  • Ability to show initiative and work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to dynamic project needs.
