Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fund Operations Manager to join our fund operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of asset management services, along with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to handle operations matters, and facilitate projects related to operation efficiency and expansion of the business.

Duties

• Oversee daily fund operations, including position reconciliation, fund expense payments, and cash management.
• Ensure accuracy in accounting records, financial reports, transaction reconciliations and NAV calculation.
• Liaise with service providers (custodians, administrators, brokers, auditors, fund lawyer, tax agent etc) to ensure smooth fund operations.
• Prepare reports for regulatory filings, ensuring all internal and external audits are completed efficiently.
• Ensure regulatory filings are completed in a timely manner.
• Manage the process of investor subscription, redemption, transfer and other investor requests.
• Manage investor onboarding and ensure the Know‑Your‑Customer and Anti‑Money Laundering identification are properly done and completed.
• Work with internal teams to streamline processes and implement new workflows for operational efficiency.
• Support the launch of new business products and ensure operational readiness.
• Understand key business requirements that impact operation and work with internal teams to ensure business demands are met.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and effective fund management.
• Carry out any other duties and responsibility given by Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications e.g. ACCA, CPA are a plus.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in fund services or asset management operations at licensed fund management companies.
• Fluent in both Chinese and English is required in order to process documents and liaise with counterparties in both languages.
• Good knowledge of industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to capital markets in fund management.
• Good understanding of fund accounting and different fund structure.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, meticulous, a self‑starter, with good problem‑solving skills and a good team player.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Ethical conduct and integrity, maintaining professionalism in all matters.
