Job summary

SCIENTE is seeking a highly skilled Functional Business Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and IT teams within Data and Finance domains in Singapore. You will gather, analyze, and document requirements for data-centric and financial systems to support planning and reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years FP&A experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to drive requirements through stakeholders while managing change in a financial services context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
• 5-7 years FP&A experience.
• Banking/financial industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and document the 'to be' business and operations processes based on requirements; perform impact assessment.
• Liaise with Business Unit Specialists to elicit and review requirements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure non-functional requirements include security requirements.
• Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements from business requirements.
• Monitor and manage risks/issues related to requirements and scope.
• Deliver Data mapping specifications and Data Lineage; BRD and Functional Specification Document.
• Assist transition of requirements to System Analysts for shared understanding.
• Write business functional release notes and contribute to deployment plan.
• Work with Test Manager to translate requirements into test scenarios.
• Perform impact assessment and estimation for projects and change requests.
• Manage Scope creep and Change Requests.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Business Analyst with expertise in the Data and Finance domain.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for data-centric and financial systems.

Mandatory Skill - set

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field;
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A);
• Business domain knowledge in banking or the financial industry;
• Experience in data analytics and handling large sets of financial data;
• Exceptional quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and process design skills, with the ability to translate analysis into practical solutions that align with business objectives;
• Knowledge of technology and operational processes across various functions and departments in banking or financial markets;
• Familiarity with change management processes and basic project management principles;
• A resourceful team player with strong leadership capabilities to drive discussions and resolve challenges effectively;
• A strategic, forward-thinking approach to problem-solving, complemented by outstanding communication, influencing, negotiation, and persuasion skills;
• Passionate, diligent, and resilient, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments;
• Experience in scoping and evaluation, defining considerations such as scalability, maintainability, cost, operations, and potential risks, to provide well-informed recommendations.

Desired Skill-set

• Work with Test Manager to translate business requirements into test scenarios;
• Perform impact assessment and estimation for project and change requests;
