Job summary

Cedars Digital is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to design, build and scale our enterprise SaaS that helps measure, manage, and reduce carbon footprints. You will work across frontend and backend with TS, React, Node/NestJS, on a micro-frontend and Next.js App Router architecture.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in full-stack or software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience building frontend applications using React.js.
• Experience building backend services with Node.js, NestJS, Express.js, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation, with experience working against API specifications and contracts.
• Relational database experience with PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of clean code and scalable architecture.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across distributed and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and scale our enterprise SaaS platform.
• Develop full-stack apps with TS, React.js, Node.js, NestJS.
• Build responsive UIs across micro-frontend and Next.js apps.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs from OpenAPI specs.
• Model DB schemas and optimise PostgreSQL queries; manage Redis queues.
• Deliver features end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Write unit/integration/e2e tests with Jest and Playwright.
• Troubleshoot production issues; improve performance and reliability.
• Deploy on GCP and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to GitLab pipelines and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, QA and distributed teams.
• Explore integrating AI-powered capabilities into the platform.

What you'll be doing:

As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and scaling our enterprise SaaS platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing and maintaining full-stack web applications using TypeScript, React.js, Node.js and NestJS .
• Building responsive, scalable and maintainable user interfaces across our micro-frontend architecture (Module Federation) and Next.js App Router applications.
• Designing and implementing RESTful APIs, working contract-first from OpenAPI specifications and technical design documentation.
• Designing database schemas and optimising queries using PostgreSQL, while managing asynchronous workloads with Redis and message queues.
• Delivering product features end-to-end — from technical design and implementation through testing and production deployment.
• Writing unit, integration and end-to-end tests (Jest & Playwright) while actively participating in code reviews.
• Troubleshooting production issues and continuously improving application performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Working with applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Contributing to GitLab development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA Engineers and distributed engineering teams.
• Exploring opportunities to integrate AI-powered capabilities and AI agents into our platform.

What will help you succeed in this role:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in full-stack or software engineering.

• Experience building backend services with Node.js, NestJS, Express.js, or similar frameworks.

• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across distributed and cross-functional teams.
