Job summary

Moriah Childcare & Development Centre (Simei) is seeking a passionate Assistant Teacher who holds a FECE to join our caring team in Singapore. You will help teachers in caring for a class and facilitating activities that support early learning.

Join us to contribute to a warm, engaging learning environment and build strong relationships with parents and staff. This is a full-time position based at our Simei centre.

Qualifications

• Must hold FECE certification.
• Assist teachers in teaching and care of a class.
• Uphold school policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy, well-organized classroom and manage equipment.

What We’re Looking For:

• To provide safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
• To assist Teachers in the teaching and care of a class in accordance with the school’s agreed policies and guidelines.
• To assist Teachers to provide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games and storytelling
• To maintain professional dialogue with colleagues concerning the children, other colleagues and the school.
• To keep all information and intellectual property of the centre confidential.
• To encourage children to take pride in their own environment and show respect and concern for others, to the benefit of the school as a caring and gracious community
• To assist Teachers in all aspects of classroom management eg. Care of equipment with resources well-labelled and accessible. Maintain a tidy, well organized room.
• To assist in creating an interesting and lively classroom to promote independent learning.
• To build positive links between yourself and parents of children under your care.
