Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to develop and enhance AI-powered solutions with a focus on reliability, scalability and security. The role emphasizes production-grade LLM applications, prompt engineering and responsible-AI practices.

You will guide a team, implement monitoring, and work with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust AI solutions across government projects and commercial initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience delivering AI/ML solutions.
• Hands-on experience deploying production LLM applications with prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases and agentic workflows.
• Experience implementing AI safety controls, guardrails or responsible-AI practices and proficiency in Python and relevant AI development frameworks.
• Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management and mentoring capabilities.
• Ability to translate experimental AI capabilities into reliable and maintainable production systems.

Responsibilities

• Define strategies for model selection, prompt optimisation and the continuous improvement of AI solutions.
• Design evaluation frameworks, quality benchmarks and test datasets for LLM responses, RAG pipelines and agentic workflows.
• Implement systematic testing and production monitoring to identify hallucinations, inconsistent outputs, performance regressions and operational issues.
• Develop AI safety controls and guardrails while maintaining accurate, up-to-date data for retrieval, evaluation and fine-tuning.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable AI solutions.
