Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications within the COMPASS platform. You will work across frontend and backend teams, translating requirements into scalable solutions and APIs, while ensuring quality and security.

You’ll collaborate with UI/UX, business users and DevOps to deliver robust software on AWS, leveraging Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-stack development for enterprise-grade web apps.
• Proficient with modern frontend technologies (ReactJS/Angular/Vue.js) and HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Backend proficiency with Node.js, Python or Java Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing microservices and integrating with internal/external systems.
• Cloud-native apps on AWS; familiar with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server) and GitLab CI/CD.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and good communication skills.

This is a 12 months fixed term contract role.

What will you do?

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications and backend services supporting the COMPASS platform:
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications and user interfaces for COMPASS platform.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and microservices to support business functions and data processing requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system features.
• Design and implement reusable, maintainable, and scalable software components.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Apply frontend engineering best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement secure coding practices and comply with LTA security requirements.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers and business users to improve application usability and user experience.
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Support application troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support activities
• Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver solutions and support knowledge sharing across the project team.

Requirements

• Experience in fullstack application development and building enterprise-grade web applications
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as: ReactJS, Angular, Vue.js, or equivalent frameworks.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in backend development using: Node.js, Python or Java Spring Boot
• Experience implementing frontend best practices including: Responsive design Accessibility Performance optimization Component-based architectures State management
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, API integration, and microservices architecture.
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, with familiarity in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server.
• Experience with GitLab source control, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
