Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design, implementation, and ongoing support of end-to-end web applications using Next.js for user interfaces and contemporary backend API frameworks.
- Develop, integrate, and sustain RESTful APIs interacting smoothly with AWS cloud services as well as third-party platforms.
- Create dynamic, map-driven features employing Leaflet.js (or equivalent), including linking with geospatial APIs and AWS-hosted datasets.
- Work hand-in-hand with UI/UX designers to launch responsive, accessible, and performant web interfaces.
- Ensure applications are optimized for expansion, cost-efficiency, and observable metrics within AWS-native environments.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to implement automated testing frameworks, robust CI/CD pipelines, and dependable app deployments.
- Author and update technical documents—ranging from system architecture and API definitions to deployment strategies.
- Apply advanced security protocols and uphold compliance with AWS’s security benchmarks across all platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Deep hands‑on experience with Next.js, particularly in server‑side rendering, static site generation, and backend API routes.
- Proven skills in developing and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is an added advantage.
- Solid proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for complete stack development.
- Practical experience with Node.js frameworks (Express, NestJS, or similar) and direct use of AWS solutions—specifically Amazon OpenSearch Service, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.
