Job summary

AppLovin invites a Full Stack Engineer to join our team in Singapore. You’ll build and maintain responsive web applications, create experiences embedded in mobile apps via WebViews, and contribute to lightweight browser-based games and features.

You will collaborate across product and design, own features from idea to launch, and help ensure performance and reliability across platforms. A strong foundation in HTML/CSS/JS, plus React or Vue experience, is essential.

About the Role

Gist is a new consumer social app built by AppLovin, a handbook for the curious. We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build the web applications, embedded web experiences, and mini games that bring our product to life.

You’ll work across frontend interfaces and backend services, turning product ideas into experiences that are fast, reliable, and easy to use.

Your work will span responsive web pages, experiences embedded in mobile apps through WebViews, and lightweight interactive games.

You’ll own features from implementation through launch, contribute to larger projects with guidance from experienced engineers, and work closely with product and design to improve what we ship.

A Day in the Life

• Build and maintain responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and a modern frontend framework.
• Develop web experiences that work smoothly inside mobile WebViews, accounting for different screen sizes, devices, and platform behavior.
• Build and integrate lightweight mini games and interactive features, including the interfaces and backend services that support them.
• Develop and maintain backend APIs and database integrations that power product features.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and mobile engineers to turn requirements into working features and deliver them through release.
• Improve overall product performance, stability, and user experience across all platforms.
• Write maintainable, tested code, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot issues across the frontend and backend.

Who You Are

• Two years of professional software engineering experience, with practical experience contributing to both frontend and backend development.
• Strong foundations in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript, including responsive layouts and browser behavior.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework such as React or Vue.
• Experience building backend services in at least one programming language, working with APIs, and using relational or non-relational databases.
• Experience delivering smaller features independently and contributing to larger projects with guidance.
• A thoughtful approach to debugging, testing, and writing code that others can understand and maintain.
• Comfortable collaborating across engineering, product, and design, asking questions early, and following through on delivery.
• Care about the details that make consumer products feel intuitive and responsive.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building cross-platform web applications, mini apps, or embedded web experiences.
• Familiarity with mobile WebViews, communication between web content and native apps, or platform SDK integrations.
• Experience building HTML5 games or interactive browser experiences using Canvas, WebGL, or a game framework.
• Familiarity with product analytics, feature experiments, or consumer applications.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, with careful review and validation of generated code.
