The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Gen AI team and develop next-generation applications powered by advanced AI technologies. This role focuses on hands-on implementation of AI-driven applications using cutting-edge AI frameworks that support MAS' role in the Singapore's financial sector, whilst ensuring robust governance and operational excellence.
As a Software Engineer, you will implement and build production-grade web applications that leverage large language models and agentic AI systems. You will work with modern AI frameworks to develop user-facing applications that enhance productivity for AI developers, data scientists, and end users across MAS.
Implement robust, scalable applications that enable autonomous AI agents using AI Frameworks (e.g. LangGraph) for complex multi-step reasoning and decision-making workflows. Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces that allow users to interact with, monitor, and control AI agents performing complex tasks and workflows.
Implement web services and APIs that enable efficient search and retrieval of information from large-scale data repositories (e.g. Elastic / Redis) using hybrid search capabilities. Build data ingestion pipelines and vector indexing workflows that support real-time query processing and document retrieval. Develop robust error handling and fallback mechanisms for search service integration, including query reformulation and result ranking optimisation.
Build intuitive web interfaces that enable MAS officers to interact with complex AI systems with lower learning curve. Implement dashboards, configuration panels, and monitoring interfaces that provide clear visibility into AI application performance and behaviour.
Implement performance optimisations for web applications handling AI workloads. Build caching mechanisms, request queuing systems, and load balancing solutions that ensure responsive user experiences even under heavy AI processing loads.
Implement security measures including authentication, authorisation, and data protection within web applications. Ensure all developments adhere to MAS operational controls and regulatory standards through proper implementation of security features and audit logging.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
