Job summary

PwC Singapore is seeking an Associate AI Engineer / Data Scientist to join the Financial Services Assurance Digital Innovation Garage. You will design, build and support data analytics and AI-powered automation solutions for asset management, banking and insurance clients.

The role requires 1–3 years in data science or related fields, with strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with Power BI and AI concepts. Availability for sponsorship is noted; available for work visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

1–3 years of relevant experience in data science, AI engineering, machine learning, analytics engineering or related fields.
Proficiency with Python data science libraries and SQL; familiarity with data cleansing, feature engineering and exploratory data analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop, test and maintain data analytics, ML and AI-assisted automation solutions using Python, SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx or similar tools.
Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation and exploratory analysis to support audit, assurance and internal innovation use cases.
Support AI/ML prototypes including feature engineering, model evaluation and responsible use of large language models where applicable.
Collaborate with audit, risk, technology and innovation teams to translate requirements into proof-of-concepts or production-ready components.
Document assumptions, data handling steps, testing results and user guidance in a clear, structured manner.
Demonstrate critical thinking, curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies while bringing order to ambiguous problems.
Communicate progress, risks and outcomes to senior team members and stakeholders.
Uphold PwC's ethics, data protection expectations and responsible AI principles.
