Job summary

DCONSTRUCT ROBOTICS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Front-End Intern to help implement our design system and create reusable, well-documented interface elements with interactive examples.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, gain hands-on front-end experience with React, TypeScript, Tailwind/SCSS, and tooling like Vite. This role emphasizes learning, accessibility, and high-quality UI work in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript and CSS-based styling systems (Tailwind, SCSS).
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and front-end build tools (Vite).
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Solid understanding of browser rendering behavior and mobile app development principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience working on projects with a strong emphasis on user experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• A burning passion for learning and deep diving into web development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and engineers to understand design system architecture and translate usage patterns into functional, reusable components.
• Build and document interface elements with live, interactive examples and prop-driven variations to demonstrate real-world usage.
• Build tooling and starter templates (environment configs, scripts, Git workflows) to accelerate new developer setup.
• Refactor and optimize component implementations for consistency, accessibility (a11y) and performance across the platform.
• Improve developer experience by streamlining build tooling, automating documentation generation, and enforcing coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions to ensure technical alignment and maintain code quality.
