Position: Front Desk Receptionist – Dance Studio

Job Responsibilities
Administrative & Customer Service
- Greet and assist all visitors (students, parents, guests) warmly, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression.
- Handle inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, and other online platforms; provide accurate information on classes, pricing, and ongoing promotions.
- Manage studio appointment bookings and trial class arrangements via phone or WeChat.
- Build strong rapport with students and parents; aim to remember names of regular students to foster a friendly atmosphere.
- Address and resolve basic complaints or suggestions and escalate important feedback to the studio manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, lounge, and studio spaces.
- Check and tidy the studio between classes when there are breaks in the schedule.
Class & Membership Management
- Handle new member sign-ups, input information accurately, and manage class credits.
- Send class reminders, take attendance, and confirm attendance numbers with instructors.
- Publish class sign-up lists; inform instructors and students if classes need to be canceled due to low attendance.
- Encourage inactive students to return and update records for long-term absences or membership freezes.
- Promote renewals for students with fewer than 2 remaining classes.
- Explain membership options, pricing packages, and promotions to new and existing students.
- Process payments via cash, card, PayNow, and record all transactions accurately.
Daily Operations Support
- Assist instructors with video recording of the final routine for each class and send videos to students promptly.
- Support social media operations – help post updates on WeChat Moments and Xiaohongshu (RED).
- Regularly check and organize studio inventory; ensure essentials like tissues and drinks are well-stocked.
- Keep receipts for all studio-related purchases for reimbursement purposes.
Requirements
- Friendly, professional, and proactive with strong communication skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Able to work evenings and weekends when classes are scheduled
- Experience in front desk, customer service, or admin roles is a plus
- Proficient in Chinese (Mandarin) is required, as many clients communicate in Chinese
