Job description

Freight Operations Oversight

• Manage the full spectrum of freight forwarding activities, including imports, exports, and transshipments
• Oversee shipment tracking to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any arising issues
• Ensure all operations comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and internal policies

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and support a team of Customer Focus Executives and Operations Executives, providing coaching and performance oversight
• Promote coordination across departments such as sales, finance, and warehousing
• Evaluate operational effectiveness and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies

Client & Vendor Engagement

• Act as the key liaison for customer communications, addressing concerns and service issues
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, shipping lines, and logistics providers
• Negotiate competitive freight rates and vendor agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness

Documentation & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure shipping documents—including invoices, airway bills, bills of lading, and customs declarations—are accurate and complete
• Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting freight operations and make necessary adjustments
• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines

Operational Efficiency & Cost Control

• Analyze and improve workflows for better efficiency and cost reduction
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide continuous improvement
• Apply best practices in warehouse coordination, route optimization, and shipment consolidation
