Job summary

Private Advertiser in Singapore is seeking a Freight Operations Coordinator to manage daily freight operations from end-to-end, including shipment execution, documentation, customs clearance and invoicing.   • Prepare and verify shipping documentation and declare customs via TradeNet/PortNet.
  • Work with overseas agents, carriers and clients to ensure smooth handovers.

  • Handle inquiries on freight rates and tracking.

About the role

Manage daily freight operations, handling end-to-end shipment execution, documentation, customs clearance and invoicing. Serve as a key liaison between clients, overseas partners and carriers to ensure efficient and timely cargo movements.

Key responsibilities
  • Coordinate among customers, vendors, warehouse teams and internal departments to manage operational workflows for import, export and transshipment cargoes.

  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation and process customs permit declarations via TradeNet/PortNet.

  • Work directly with overseas agents, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth shipment handovers.

  • Maintain clear and proactive communication regarding shipment status, potential delays and operational updates.

  • Field customer inquiries regarding freight rates and shipment tracking.

  • Prepare accurate rate quotations and service proposals.

  • Verify vendor changes, transport costs and carrier invoices against agreed rates.

  • Generate customer billing and job invoicing.

  • Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or delays to maintain service standards.

About you
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, prior exposure to both air and sea freight import/export processes is a strong advantage.

  • Understanding of shipping procedures, documentation and customs clearance.

  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Problem solving abilities with the initiative to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
