Position: Freelance Private Psychologist/Counsellor (1-To-1)
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate children’s emotional, behavioural, and psychological needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings and each child’s unique needs and goals.
  • Provide one-on-one counselling or therapy sessions, utilising evidence-based techniques to address issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges, and social skills deficits.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide holistic support and ensure consistency in therapeutic interventions across environments.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of each child’s progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and resources to families, helping them understand and support their child’s mental health needs.
  • Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in child psychology and counselling.
Requirements:
  • A recognised degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) or relevant professional body in Singapore.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in a therapeutic or counselling context, is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and customise therapy plans based on each child’s progress and evolving needs.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s mental health and emotional well-being.

Compensation:
  • Part‑Time Tutor: Up to $60/hr
  • Full‑Time Tutor: Up to $90/hr
  • Early Childhood Educator: Up to $70/hr
  • MOE/Special Ed Tutor: Up to $140/hr
  • Enrichment Specialist (dance, art, swimming, etc.): Up to $120-150 per session
  • Therapist (speech, occupational, physiotherapy, etc.): Up to $200-220/hr
  • Psychologist: Up to $250/hr
  • Counsellor: Up to $150/hr
