Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one piano lessons, with a strong understanding of the ABRSM syllabus (both practical and theory).
• Teach music theory, aural skills, and technical exercises, preparing students for graded examinations.
• Prepare students for recitals, performances, and competitions.
• Select and organize appropriate teaching materials and resources to support effective learning.
• Track and assess students’ progress regularly; adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and goals.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each student’s level and examination targets.
• Participate in school development programs and workshops.
• Take part in company events and performances, such as music recitals or open house showcases.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Music. (ATCL, DipABRSM, or equivalent certifications accepted; minimum qualification: Grade 8 ABRSM or equivalent).
• Proficient in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with students and parents, including Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, passionate, and encouraging teaching approach.
• Must be currently residing in Singapore and willing to travel for lessons (islandwide).
