Job summary

Activate Interactive Singapore is seeking a Data Scientist to embed within the DSAD team for a 1-year fixed-term engagement with Singapore Government Agencies. The role focuses on maintaining and expanding the Fraud Analytics Models (FAM) 2.0, calibrating methodologies, and building a robust technical dashboard.

You will translate policy requirements into analytical solutions and drive governance across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience handling fraud or risk modelling challenges, including imbalanced data and evolving labels.
• Experience designing or implementing production model-monitoring approaches, including data drift and alert thresholds.
• Experience building analytical dashboards using Tableau or an equivalent platform.
• Experience with CI/CD, MLOps controls or operational deployment of analytical models.
• Experience with Spark or PySpark and enterprise data platforms (AWS Redshift, AWS Glue).
• Experience with network/graph analytics to identify related entities or patterns.
• Experience with government datasets (workforce, training, grants, claims, regulatory).
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and recalibrate FAM 2.0 model methodologies and thresholds, including back-testing and documentation.
• Translate business and policy requirements into fraud-risk scenarios and indicators.
• Build and enhance the technical dashboard for model performance and data drift monitoring.
• Assess new schemes' structures and eligibility rules for coverage in FAM 2.0.
• Maintain governance and change records; communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Produce reproducible code, analyses and documentation throughout the engagement.
