Job summary

Hudson Singapore is seeking an experienced FPGA Firmware Engineer (VHDL) for our client in the power solution industry. You will design, develop, and test firmware and FPGA solutions for embedded systems, and create VHDL-based designs for new and existing products.

You will define system architecture, interfaces, timing requirements, and design solutions, and troubleshoot firmware issues using hardware test equipment. Strong knowledge of Xilinx devices and Altium is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development and real-time systems.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA development, CPLD/FPGA devices, and VHDL programming.
• Knowledge of HDL design, SPI or similar communication interfaces, version control, and firmware release management.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA devices, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and PCB design tools such as Altium is an advantage.

THE ROLE

The FPGA Firmware Engineer (VHDL) is responsible for:

• Design, develop, and test firmware and FPGA solutions for embedded systems.
