Responsibilities
  • Develop new food improvers, emulsifier formulations, and cake applications
  • Perform hands-on baking trials including cakes, rolls, and pastries
  • Conduct baking comparison tests and product evaluations for emulsifiers
  • Propose and develop innovative bakery concepts based on market trends and business needs
  • Troubleshoot formulation and application issues at internal and external sites
  • Provide technical support and product advice to customers and internal teams
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to ensure solutions meet customer requirements
  • Design and execute shelf-life testing for specific products
  • Prepare product samples and ensure compliance with food legislation
    Requirements
    • Diploma/Degree in Food Science or a related field with hands-on cake baking R&D experience is preferred.
    • Proven experience in cake formulation and bakery product applications
    • Background in R&D within bakery, flour milling, or related ingredient industries
    • Good understanding of emulsifiers, food improvers, and bakery ingredients
    • Comfortable with hands-on baking trials, product testing, and live demonstrations
    • Willing to travel occasionally for short project-based trips
    • Open to handling non-halal products
