Job summary

A company in the food industry is seeking a Food Technologist / Senior Food Technologist to join their R&D team in Singapore. The role involves product development and formulation, focusing on emulsifiers for baking products. Responsibilities include conducting trials, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with standards. This is a key role to innovate bakery solutions and support customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve food improvers, formulations, and applications related to emulsifiers for cake products.
  • Conduct baking trials, including preparation of cakes, rolls, and pastries, and perform comparison tests for emulsifiers.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Application teams to provide technical support and ensure product performance meets customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both in-house and at client sites.
  • Propose and develop innovative concepts and prototypes based on market trends and business needs.
  • Ensure all products and formulations comply with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of methods, findings, and project documentation.
  • Conduct shelf-life studies and sensory evaluations of products.
  • Present new concepts and conduct live baking demonstrations for customers and seminars.
  • Support sample preparation and manage testing schedules.
  • Uphold hygiene and safety standards within the laboratory and production areas.

Our client specializes in producing a wide range of products for the food industry, including oil, noodles, dairy products, and more within the ASEAN region. They are seeking a Food Technologist / Senior Food Technologist to join the R&D team, focusing on the application of emulsifiers for cake and bakery products.
