Job Specifics
- Engagement: Approximately one week per month.
 
- Work Environment: Retail and hotel settings, with possible assignments in other food industry sectors.
 
- Schedule: Primarily weekdays, subject to client needs.
 
- Travel: May be required depending on customer request.
 
Responsibilities
- Conduct food safety audits covering hygiene, brand standards, and HACCP compliance.
 
- Collect, review, and verify records, documents, procedures, policies, and test results.
 
- Identify, assess, and report potential or actual food safety risks, non‑conformities, or deviations from established requirements.
 
- Provide constructive feedback and recommend corrective actions to address food safety issues or compliance gaps.
 
- Prepare audit reports using online reporting platforms.
 
Requirements
- Education: Degree or background in food science, microbiology, nutrition, or a related field.
 
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in the food industry (retail, hospitality, or manufacturing) or prior involvement in food safety audits.
 
- Basic principles of food safety (hazard analysis, critical control points, preventive controls, foodborne illnesses).
 
- Relevant regulations and standards, including HACCP, Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), ISO standards, and local regulatory requirements.
 
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
 
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and professionally.
 
- IT proficiency for online reporting.
 
Preferred Qualifications (Advantageous)
- Additional certifications such as ISO (9001, 18000, 22000), FSSAI (Hygiene Auditor, FOSTAC), ServSafe, CIEH, FSSC 22000, or other relevant industry credentials.
