Job description

Contract: 12 months (with option to extend for another year)
Start Date: 1 January 2026
Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (includes 30-minute lunch break)
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (includes 30-minute lunch break)
• No work on Saturdays, Sundays, or gazetted public holidays
• Total: 42 hours per week

Job Scope:

• Assist teachers with preparation of ingredients, ordering supplies, and setting up/cleaning lab equipment.
• Maintain stock records, replace broken glassware, and prepare annual inventory.
• Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the food lab and other departmental rooms.
• Supervise students in the lab in teachers’ absence.
• Handle deliveries, update notice boards, and assist with administrative or other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum secondary school education.
• At least 1 year of experience in school food lab duties.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; basic IT skills.
