Google Singapore is seeking a software engineer to join the Commerce team, building next-generation experiences that scale for billions of users. You will work on Flutter/Dart-based client features, collaborate with PM/UX, and help integrate AI/ML capabilities across the stack.

The role emphasizes versatile problem solving, ownership of end-to-end features, and contributions to server-side pipelines for real-time personalization and image/video assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Experience with full-stack development across backend and frontend technologies.
• Experience with web technologies and mobile app development.

Responsibilities

• Work extensively in a Flutter (Dart) codebase delivering seamless, cross-platform (Android and iOS) shopping experiences to GPay users.
• Partner effectively with Product Management (PM) and UX leads to build new user-facing experiences, and collaborate closely with cross-product area partner teams to integrate AI/ML models into the client.
• Develop and iterate on LLM prompts and AI infra setup to improve the quality of our conversational AI stylist.
• Conduct rigorous AI evaluations, including operational and qualitative assessments for conversational AI response and image/video GenAI results.
• Design and implement server-side logic and robust data pipelines to power real-time feed updates, personalization, and offline-generated visual assets.
